Camp Wil­lo­linn PA Rules and Responsibilities

Obey all camp rules:

  •  Never go down to or allow campers down by the river.
  • Keep campers within camp boundaries unless your leader has checked your  unit out to go to the playground or meadow. 
  • Wear appropriate clothing: long pants, close‐toed shoes and unaltered camp  shirt and scarf.
  • No running except when playing games in the meadow or on field. 
  • Use or possession of alcohol, tobacco, illegal drugs, firearms, or weapons is  forbidden and will cause dismissal from camp and be reported to your  parents/guardians and Girl Scout Council.  If necessary, incidents will also be  reported to the police.

Be respectful of everyone at camp:

  • Do not use profane language, as clarified at training.
  • Stick to age appropriate topics of discussion with girls (no dating, boyfriends)
  • Listen to adults and make courteous suggestions.
  • Be a role model, especially when dealing with individual differences.
  • Make sure all campers feel comfortable and included.
  • If you have a problem, talk to the PA Coordinator or Director as soon as possible.

Be responsible:

  • Arrive on time, by 8:15,  pitch in and stay until your job assignment is  completed. “Bus” is a job assignment.
  • Stay with your unit unless your leader gives you permission to take a break.
  • Participate with girls in all activities.  Do not focus on your own interests or  conversations.
  •  Stay with your unit during resources.  Support all instructors.
  • Do not wander off by yourself or seek out other PAs when you’re on duty.
  • Offer to lead songs, games and hikes.
  • Limit your PA table visits to one in the morning and one in the afternoon, 15  minutes each.
  • Do your assigned tasks without being reminded.
  • Alternate days with your PA partner to attend noon PA meetings.
  • Read all emails from PA coordinator before and during camp. 

Teach Rainbow Award Skills:

  • Teach all required skills for your grade level.  
  • Plan a calendar on the first day.
  • Help campers in your unit catch up if they have not been at camp before or  have missed a year.

We are looking forward to providing you with many opportunities to develop your leadership skills while working with our campers and adult volunteers.​  CA's are expected to be at camp from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m each day, unless they ride the bus.
