Welcome to Camp Wil-Lo-Linn,

your Day Camp in Girl Scout Service Unit 9;

Wilsonville, Lake Oswego, & West Linn! 

VOLUNTEERS are expected to be at camp from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m for each day they volunteer.

All Volunteers must go through Volunteer Training. It consists of the following:

  • All Volunteers must be registered with Girl Scouts of Oregon and Southwest Washington as Troop Helpers. This will trigger a background check. 
  • Completing mandatory Girl Scout OSW Council Adult Volunteer Online Training:  GS101, Volunteer Essentials, and Troop Safety 
  • (Adult volunteers unable to take council required online training modules before the on-site training day will be given the opportunity to complete it at on-site training).
  • Reviewing the Wil-Lo-Linn Volunteer Essentials, Emergency Procedures, and Cooking Essentials.
  • Reviewing the Camp Aide page for information on specific unit activities.
  • Completing the mandatory on-site training scheduled for Sunday, June 9th  at Wilsonville Memorial Park - River Shelter, Wilsonville from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm. Hot coffee and pastries will be provided for morning training session; a dutch oven meal will be provided for lunch.

The on-site training will cover the following:

  • Staff introductions and photo identification
  • Roles and responsibilities of volunteers
  • Camp health, safety, and evacuation policies
  • Camp layout and activity locations
  • Volunteer assignments
  • Partnering with Camp Aides
  • Camp schedules and special events
  • Preparation of the cook shed meal and Rainbow Skills 
  • Training for the activity support staff - including training on craft activities

Each Unit will have a binder that travels with them.  It contains useful resources.  Your Camp Aide (CA) will be familiar with these, but it might be a good idea to look them over:
